The Meridian Investments team includes an exceptional group of highly skilled deal-makers with tax, accounting, debt and equity finance backgrounds to provide our clients with the best financing solutions for their projects.

Jeremiah J. "Jerry" McDermott, President of Meridian Investments, is a graduate of Boston College (BA Economics, 1991). Mr. McDermott is responsible for leading tax credit equity fund raising efforts, as well as new business development opportunities. Prior to joining Meridian, he was a broker for a national brokerage institution. Mr. McDermott is a Series 7 and 63 licensed broker. Mr. McDermott is based in our Washington, DC office.
John P. "Jack" McDonough, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Meridian Investments, is a graduate of Boston College (BS, Business Administration and Accounting, 1976, Cum Laude). Prior to joining Meridian, Mr. McDonough worked with a private merchant bank. From 1976 to 1983 he served in the audit area with Ernst & Young (formerly Ernst & Whinney). Mr. McDonough provides the strategic objectives and guidance for the sales and marketing group of Meridian Investments, making sure that current implementation coincides with the Company’s long-range strategic plan. Additionally, he represents the company when interacting with FINRA and SEC in regulatory matters. Mr. McDonough is based in Meridian’s Boston, MA office.
Roman Brilman, Vice President, Product Development of Meridian Investments, is a graduate of Boston College (MBA 2007) and the University of Buffalo (BS in Finance, 2000). Prior to joining Meridian, Mr. Brilman was a Senior Financial Analyst at Boston Capital Corporation. He was responsible for structuring investment portfolios for corporate tax credit investors in low-income housing partnerships and alternative energy transactions. Prior to Boston Capital, Mr. Brilman had a successful career as a Financial Consultant specializing in Estate and Tax planning at a top tier investment house and a national bank. At Meridian, Mr. Brilman is responsible for business and financial modeling and analysis, maintaining existing investor relationships, and assisting with new business development. He also functions as a technical liaison with the Meridian sales team and is based in Meridian’s Boston, MA office.
Kevin V. Murphy, Principal and Executive Vice President of Meridian Investments, is a graduate of Boston College (BS Business Administration, 1968), Suffolk University Law School (JD, 1975) and Boston University Law School Graduate Tax Program (LLM 1979). Mr. Murphy was admitted as a member of the Massachusetts Bar in 1975. Prior to joining Meridian in 1983, Mr. Murphy served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, held an appointment with the US Treasury, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and served as Tax Counsel and In-House Counsel for several international corporations. Mr. Murphy is based in our Boston, MA office and is responsible for business development and the placement of tax credit equity. His region includes the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, Utah and Wyoming. Mr. Murphy is also a retired Colonel in the US Army Reserves and commanded the first USAR unit to be deployed to the Persian Gulf during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Elizabeth Ronayne, Senior Vice President, is a graduate of Salem State University (BS Business Administration 1982). She holds her Series 22 and Series 63 securities licenses. Ms. Ronayne is responsible for business development and the placement of tax credit equity.  Her region includes the states of AR, AL, FL, GA, IL, IA, KS,KY,LA, MI, MN, OK, PR, SC, TN, TX and WI.    Ms. Ronayne has over 30 years of banking and finance experience including 20 years in the affordable housing area in charge of investor relations, new business development and branding.  She has held senior level positions in Asset Based Lending, Structured Finance, Distressed Loan Sales and Warehouse Lending. 
Matthew "Matt" Hodges, Vice President of Meridian Investments, is a graduate of the State University of New York College at Oneonta (BA Economics). Prior to joining Meridian, Matt was a broker with Banc of America Investment Services, Inc., where he provided expertise in the areas of initial public offerings, bond portfolios and asset management services. Prior to Banc of America, Mr. Hodges worked as a financial analyst for Bigdough.com. Matt is a sales associate working with Jerry McDermott and Jack Casey in our Washington office. Mr. Hodges holds the FINRA Series 7, 63 and 66 licenses.
Jeremy Legare, Vice President, of Meridian Investments, is a graduate of the University of Iowa (BBA Finance). Prior to joining Meridian Investments, Jeremy spent over ten years at a sister company, Meridian Realty Investments (MRI) where he led investment acquisitions, dispositions and asset management. MRI acquired and syndicated a portfolio of $500 million of institutional real estate investment and served over 150 retail investors.  Previously, Jeremy was with the commercial mortgage business unit at AEGON USA Realty Advisors where he originated and underwrote large commercial real estate loans. Mr. LeGare holds the FINRA Series 22 and 63 licenses.
Kimberly "Kim" Payne, Controller of Meridian Investments, is a graduate of Merrimack College (BA in Finance, 1990). Ms. Payne is responsible for the internal and external financial reporting for all of the Meridian affiliates. She maintains all accounting records and works closely with external auditors and Meridian's local FINRA and SEC contacts. Prior to joining Meridian, Ms. Payne worked as controller for Sallie Mae Home Loans. Ms. Payne is based in our Boston office and reports to the Chief Financial Officer, Jack McDonough.
Carolyn Caldarone, Manager, Sales Administration, is a graduate of Suffolk University (BA, Humanities 1995). Ms. Caldarone joined Meridian in 1996 and maintains educational materials for the company, manages the client offering database, and maintains all information regarding our offerings. She also handles sales research and meeting documentation. She provides administrative support to executives including travel, scheduling, and documentation. She manages and maintains all aspects of the Boston computer network, including ordering and sales database training. Ms. Caldarone is based in our Boston, MA office.
Kelly Pabst, Sales Research Assistant, Meridian Investments, is a graduate of the University of Dallas (BA History 2009). She is responsible for providing the sales team with Community Reinvestment Act geographic data and financial institutions reporting information from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. In addition, Ms. Pabst researches financial information obtained from SEC documents and other business information sites to assist in business development. Ms. Pabst is based in Meridian’s Washington, D.C. office.  
Terry L. Drosdak, Office Manager, Washington Office, Terry Drosdak is the office manager for Meridian’s Washington office. Ms. Drosdak joined the Meridian team in 2000 and is responsible for the administrative operation and management of the Washington office. Her duties include information technology management, company communications and press management, and acting as trade association liaison. She is the company’s meeting planner, organizing board meetings, national tax credit conferences and client charitable events. She also handles database management and is assistant webmaster, and serves as Executive Assistant to the Vice Chairman. Ms. Drosdak is based in the Washington, DC office.
